Eichborn: Flyvertising
To promote their exhibition stand at the Franfurt Book Fair, Eichborn the publisher with the fly prepared 200 flies with an ultra light banner. The banner was attached with natural wax. After a short time the banner dropped off by itself. And the flies were not harmed.

People seems to enjoy the idea a lot. Really cool.
What hath God wrought
excellent! how much did they get paid?
life is a playground
in my opinion this is nothing but ANIMAL CRUELTY
and i hope this action gets filed by some animal activists organization.
sometimes egos are bigger than the reality.
why dont you shoot a harpune into a whale reading "we are bleeding save us" to get an award
or you could display some drown refugees on a marketplace to get attention.
no points for this!
so all those bug killing pesticides should be banned as well?. If some one kills a roach they should be put in jail?, mosqitoes should be left alone?, the fly trap should be considered as animal torture?? where doy you consider we should draw the line then?, and are you considering refugees to be equal to bugs?, isnt that a bit denigrating???

Since THEY are the brand ambassadors for eichborn, it works.

I agree netei, although they claim that insects were not harmed, this is torture. One can say that "They are just insects" but they are still living creatures. Want to kill flies? Go kill them, but kill them fast, don't make them suffer. This an interesting "idea" but not the best way to gain attention. That's my opinion.
Then what's the different between slaughtering a chicken and tie a firecracker on the chicken.... which one is better?
I'm against it.
Ha! Lolz at you, dude! They're not real flies.
You crack me up. Shut your mouth and open your eyes.
but we kill flies anyway..
100% agreed
WTF????
are you kidding? these are flies..!! i don't like the action THAT much, but is hard for me to think this like "Animal cruelty"...
btw, this is not an animal, is an insect...
so better read the kafka poem about a trapped flie dying... then u would not talk such bullshit...
It buzzes with life and imagination.

So after some while, up to 200 flies are released into the exhibition center or wherever it is?
Kind of a sanitation failure actually.
Anyway, it's still fun to watch, though.
Great idea

Didn't they do this awhile ago? This is not a new campaign. Or am I going crazy? Ivan?
really weird
gr8 idea...I do understand that the logo being the fly they have used the fly but in countries where flies are in abundance & are viewed as carriers of disease this would not bode very well for the brand but since it is not in such a country it is a buzzing

this is great!!!
Very Innovative and effective. I would appreciate Eichborn for approving this idea. It would be very silly and funny at the time of concept presentation. I don't think I can get approval on these kind of concepts in my life, here in Middle East :(
what are they gonna advertise sitting on poo?
I'm going to try this with wasps ;)
oh lool
for the first time in my life i found a useful job for FLY Thankx GOD :D

Really liked the fact that they used flies.
And It's not cruel, if a fly is on your shoulder, what would you do?
Slap and kill it. Is it cruel?
Finally some use for flies.
If I saw one of these I would think:
"OMG, A giant flying thing! I'm going to kill that now!"
I wonder how many flies were slapped during this action. lol
Inspiring... great work. Cheers :)
the open speed is so slowly .i can't see that
this is quite an amazing piece...really inspiring and ground breaking i feel
oh god!!! cnt stop telling othrs to watch dis......amazing idea.....n yes.....what cruelty..nthng of that sort here ok
Great idea! until a dog takes a big dump outside and the brand goes to shit.
yup, even flies are not safe from the cultural litter of advertising
For an award these people will kill their mom's!
