Description:

Two million Sri Lankans are already reported to be suffering from Diabetes. Another two million are at risk. To create awareness around this issue, we took your average teaspoon and cut slits in it to resemble a fork. As a result, you would have used less sugar, thus decreasing blood sugar levels and the threat of suffering from Diabetes. This teaspoon was distributed across a local chain of restaurants and picked up by national television, enlightening the entire nation on its benefits and how we can prevent the risk of Diabetes.

Idea is good. However, would have been even clearer if its a perforated spoon rather than a Spork. The similarity to the fork is just leading viewers to think in a different direction.

Great idea of educating the society. Trimming the spoon is an excellent idea.

This is really a great idea. It works very well. I think you should get patent rights for this spoon n take it forward.

i disagree.. it's not such a good idea, because if creating a fork from a spoon is a great idea, i don't get a good ad !
honestly, i got diabetes, and a fork spoon won't teach me or anyone else how to consume less sugar..
and the fact that shine my point is that they needed to communicate through so many medias just to talk about this little idea..
an ad or action of communication need to be understood by itself,it's not supposed to have explanation to get it

@ jponino - The idea here is not creating a fork from a spoon. So your point is lost. I don't think they have given any explanations or whatsoever in order to understand the idea(the communication) therefore again your point is lost. pls look around to understand how important is the media support for ambient/action work. yes its a simple yet a great idea.

I think this Fork Spoon have specially made for the diabetics. Diabetics should always try to avoid eating sugar and therefore, now number of artificial sweeteners are available to control blood sugar level
