Beautiful idea. Simple.
ideas....30 minutes nahi toh free.
Very nice. The creatives saw further on this.
PS: MinimiZe is written with an Z, not S.
It is minimiSe in British.
My mistake.
Actually it is not minimiSe in british English. The word IS spelled with a Z. The recent changing of everything with a Z to an S is a recent phenomenon - as a backlash against American influence. But also through ignorance of American dictionaries.
Oxford dictionary redirects to minimiZe, whereas American dictionaries will tell you that with an S, it is the british variant.
http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=793157 - or google for "ise vs ize"
its minimum in my book

Thanks for the light, Yokel.
It's an uphill climb, but I'll keep struggling.
You wouldn't believe how many s-s and z-s I change in a day. :)
The joy that you've brought to my day is beyond words.
Sorry but this is uninspired. So the donation slot looks like a minus... what a invention...
simple & beautiful. Whats wrong with making the hole to a negative sign? The device blends in beautifully. My only concern is the box looks really quiet, might not be able to crab enough attentions.
Nothing wrong with making the hole to a negative sign. But that's all. The box is just white and that's it... So i dont see what's so simple & beautiful.
Good work or not, the donations will tell.
nobody is going to get that is supposed to be a minus sign, they are just going to see a donation hole.
Are you serious? Of you wouldn't understand that then you need to get out more. I really like the idea.

I actually did get it because it's on this site and hence there must be a concept, but I was talking about any non ad person that doesn't look for a concept in everything they see in everyday life.
I have to disagree with you there, I reckon a good 75% of people would get that straight away. That sort of visual language is familiar these days.

A boring donation box whit a hole... that's all
I got it straight away, and I reckon most people will. The HIV- or HIV+ text is everywhere to see, whether on your test results or inn the newspapers or wherever else.
has been done.
Cool, I'd like to see it, who did it? what was it an ad for?

I like it. Simple and effective. People are giving directly - moneywise and donation-box wise - to promoting HIV negative status. Its rare that consumers can interact so directy with a concept. Kudo!
It should be BEFORE the HIV...
so like this: -- HIV from PUNE
I agree completely. It should be about subracting (removing) the threat of HIV. So I think it should read as - HIV.
However, perhaps this is a cultural thing? I know that in North America we put the negative symbol before the number(-34), but in some countries they put it after (34-).
No no no, it is read "HIV negative". Not "negative HIV".
The intended message here is with your donation, more people will be living HIV free (negative) lives.
If you've ever given blood in the last 20 years (maybe even more), or had a blood test for any reason, you must be familiar with the HIV - (or God forbid, HIV +) box on that paper you got afterwards.
aaaww. Ok. That makes sense. I actually have a newfound appreciation for this ad now.
Done, Boring.

There Is New Shit Under The Sun. There are still BigBadFatMadafaka ideas.
Clever but maybe too subtle.
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.
i love helvetica!
very nice n simly
shouldn't the minus sign be before the HIV?
No. You can be HIV + or HIV -
