"So let me see if I get this straight. You want to come into my store, put your little decals on my $300 blouses to promote a TV show?"

"That's right! Isnt it cool?"

"..... SECURITY!!!"

Whys this vandalism? Its decals on Blouses who wouldn't let you do that? Good job, nice new media.

But at the same time, does *everything* have to become a "new media"? Good lord, when does it stop? I get inundated with ads and product placement and PSAs cleverly disguising rhemselves so as not to be seen as even more advertising, and I really have to wonder: is *everything* fair game?

When EUREKA came back for its third season, one of the running gag subplots was that the folks who make Degree antipersperant had provided Global Dynamics with a new lab, and because of that, everyone in town now uses it. It was cute product placement for the one episode where it related to the story, but now it's just annoyingly obvious. So the question stands: when does advertising stop communicating because of that annoyance factor? This thing here, with the decals, is bordering on it real close, IMHO, because it's just another "thing" to remove and discard when I get home.

That's a great idea! However... lesbians are smarter than men ;) They don't get caught... Watch the L Word.

very clever placement and clever idea. Why would the clothing store not let you do this...

i know plenty of straight women who are into this show as well. this approach hits on both sides of the preference aisle -- i like. as a customer, i would probably move the decals to more provocative areas, but, as a man, i probably wouldn't be in the store in the first place.

I've seen something like this, but it was a ketchup stain... I was for Ariel or TIDE detergent I think...
