The ratio of 1000:881 isn't shocking.
That's the same as 1:.8, which is esentially 1:1.
More like 10:9.

Who cares, Ivan. You can make the ratio 1,000,000:800,000 and you're still saying the same message. IT doesn't make it any more drastic.
He has said that 881 is closer to 900 than to 800, so it's not 10:8 but 10:9 rather so he was making it less drastic...
Okay, fair enough.
But my argument is that 1:.9 is the same as 10:9, and 100:90, and 1,000:900, and so on in this fashion.
Great concept, highlights a basic contradiction in the culture.
Same idea was done before with the tiger missing instead of the goddess (identical image and illustration, perhaps the same calender image) with the message 'FOR GOD'S SAKE, save the tigers.
