Agreed, but things often get lost in the translation. It might sound better in Italian - or maybe it's part of a well-known expression or something.

In the US there was a whole campaign about finding someones 'stomach', the line was something like "Bob musta lost his stomach running on the beach' and it showed some gobule jello-y like thing in the shape of a gut.
