Amnesty International Mannheim: Torture meets modern art
Your rating: None Average: 9.3 (16 votes)

This is just a duplicate.
The original hangs in a prison cell somewhere in China, Indonesia or the Middle East. Without witnesses. Without hope. Help us to stop this happening.

This sculpture hung in the Museum of Fine Arts Mannheim, Germany. Amnesty wanted people to experience more about a subject which often avoid and tend to pass by.

Must have had one hell of a team to find this placement. High-brow audience is perfect for Amnesty Int.

Very stark and difficult subject matter, I’m sure there was some thoughtful decision making going on.

I read some of the comments concerning the “Knaz-Bear” advert. like this:

whats this ad for? how did the client accept it? and how did ivan post it? hey, cool down buddy, we are here to review ads more on a positive side, not on a negative note. sorry ivan, but truth is always bitter-----

It causes me to realize some people haven’t the slightest idea of what “negative” is. It is painfully obvious this person didn’t have a thing to say about an ad depicting the torture of a real human being. However was outraged by some photo’s of a stuffed Bear ad. A sad example of a person going thru life with
self important blinders on.

I realize this is not an ad photo, However it’s still unfortunate the woman finds herself in the photo as a terrible distraction from the horror of the point.
I’m willing to agree the line “This is just a duplicate“. is completely unnecessary until the first (not so bright) person walks around the corner and starts screaming, or wets their pants. after that the line must be returned.

I’m sorry you misunderstood me. I not taking anything personally, I’m not mad or upset at all. I was simply making a point about perspective, what is and what is not important.

No worries. eh mate.
