It was a new model. - The converse adicolour shoe.
It has replaceable stripes which you can change the colour of. You can also paint onto the shoe using adicolour paints. - Which is why the ad is in a colour book style illustration.
The ad is saying the possibilities are endless, and to express yourself through the colours/designs you put on your shoe.
I remember seeing the ads around last year and thought they were awesome!
It won the recent CLIO Awards. However, it's not a fresh idea:
- Zoo poster with stencil of animals; which also won in the same Clio awards. Hmmn...
- Headache pills, with stencil of human head pasted onto walls that has cracks.
- Previous adidas' adicolor billboard using blank billboard and leave it for graffitti aritsts to do the job, and adidas paste over a shoe stencil over the graffitti. Exactly the same thing.

yeah- i think this is such an old idea- ho-hum. No insight into how it feels to be individual just trying to be clever in a very unoriginal way. And the line!! Express yourself! How over used is that one. Product could be anything.
Gives me a chill how much we copy in Australia. All a formula now.

Didn't Adidas change their logo? Is the lotus still on? What happened to the three strips?

Helooo Ravages! I worked on adidas before so to help give proper & well deserved credits to Smart Down under....the Three Stripes is for the Performance series; ie: sports shoes, basketball shoes, apparel, etc. The Three Leaves logo is for the Fashion range. BTW, there's also Y3, the high end fashion range.

Oh. Cool. Thank you. I realise I have been a fashion ignorant fool. :)
