Save the Tiger

To begin with, I know this topic has seen umpteen kinds of executions & treatments, but still I dared to attempt it my way.
At first I thought of just keeping it really simple by scratching off 'Hobbes' from the Calvin & Hobbes, logo, to convey the message that if tigers are killed, not only our planet but also our favourite cartoon will be rendered incomplete.
However, after thinking on it further, I felt I needed to dramatize the whole incompleteness of the cartoon via the cartoon itself, so the avid fan of the cartoon (who are many) would in no way miss the message.
By posting this, I am looking forward to constructive feedback about the concept for sure but also the art direction.
Thanks-
Bia

it's a nice thought, but Bill Watterson doesn't like copyright violation.
There's also been a whole series within Calvin and Hobbes where Hobbes gets lost. Is it necessary to pick panels from all over the board (I see a very early panel with Suzie) to try to come up with a new strip? Doing this and using a different font (Watterson hand-lettered his dialogue) loses the visual resonance with the original comic, and makes it look like a fake.
Bia ... where did you get the idea ??? From your predecessor's comp D:iris/savethetiger. start thinking original to fit in those shoes baby.
''keep plagiarisms alive to survive ''
So Chatterjee-A,(btw, are you bengali), So you've seen this before, sad for me! Could you send me the link, so that atleast i can congratulate that person for coming up with a great idea. And whose Iris???? And why would I wanna get into someone else's shoes??? I have my own to leave a mark with!
Cheers.
It's entertaining, but can you really use this character?
There's not much of a script there. It is missing the satirical touch of Bill Watterson. WIthout a good story the ad falls flat.
Ofcourse it is another thing that you need permission and this idea (including Kalvin + Hobbes) has been done zillion of times.

your thought is good.even the illustrations are apt. but the story could have been much better in my view.

I like the idea. I just think that your copy is awkward.
