Don't mean to disrespect, but why do you always say EVERYTHING is good? I mean, literally every post I see from you is "I loooooove this" or "way too good" and, well, some of the pieces you comment on really aren't good. At all. Is it that you just like everything? Or you just wanna be nice? If you're just being nice, I don't think it helps people to tell them their stuff is good when it really isn't. If you just like everything, well, you've got some problems.
P.S. I don't mean this piece in particular, I just clicked on here and saw the same response from this person as I have way too many times before.

what ever i comment,is from my heart,,,,,i say whatever i fell.....its not that i want to be good or.........something else........
if the work is of a student and even if its not good....i give good comments coz most of them give negetive comments ,,so i don want to stop him doing the job.......i am saying this cos even am a fresher....so i know how it feels.........
As a student myself, it does NOT help if someone is telling me that they "looove" my stuff or that it's "too good" if it really isn't. I think the students that post their work here want to get an honest response from people, not just a nice guy opinion. I mean, that's cool if you just wanna be nice, but I think it would be good if you explain that you're just being nice.
Imagine if you say that its nice and some poor student takes you seriously and thinks he has a piece that people "loooooove." When the piece really isn't good at all.
I think commenting from the heart is good... for humanity. But I do not think that Creative Directors hire someone on "from the heart."
If people are giving them negative comments, well then maybe the work is NOT GOOD. I comment once in a while and give positive comments when they are warranted. I know its subjective and different people like different things but you never seem to not like anything. It's just annoying.
If someone stops "doing their job" because of something YOU say, then maybe they don't belong in advertising. Let me tell you that you get rejected A LOT in this industry. Every day. You better get used to it.
I just can't really believe that you truly "loooove" some of the things you comment on man.

dude i really comment from my heart..if i din like the ad i jus give simple comments.like good..nice.like that......which may be wrong, but i feel its correct.
Not nearly enough people told me I sucked back in the day. That that I haven't had my fair share of new assholes torn by CDs in meetings :)
I agree with U...if something is off target or strategy or brand, or just plain bad, the artist needs to know. Otherwise they'll keep making the same mistakes over and over. That said, there is a world of difference between constructive criticism and just being told "that sucks".
BTW, you're from Canada right? (Just guessing from the website on the bottom of your signature.) I just got into AppliedArts for the student annual. I'm STOKED! How big of a deal is AA in Canada? I know here in the U.S. it's known, but not nearly as big as Communication Arts.
Thanks in advance.
Thread starter, sorry for doing this to your thread, but at least it will stay on top...
i wonder if the advert has more impact if i had the head of frankenstein instead of a bulb

What the F**K? Why recruitment ad? Bulb again... S**K!
Anson: I got an idea for an ad.
CW: What's the idea?
Anson: We using a bulb to do a recruitment ad!
CW: Wow.. that's Cool... Let's Do It!!
one more thing, there's a grammatical mistake in ur ad....i hope u can get a copywriter soon to save u from the embarrassment of having grammatical error in a recruitment ad...
Just a suggestion, would it work if the 'sometimes...' heading to be design like a missing plug...and the thats why we need you area we add in a switch...just sharing thoughts...
and caloca...why dont u create a design...post it and when funky_frogii say it's nice...then u can start screwing him up...how about that? :)
the account executive is the fly buzzing around the light. the creative director is missing.
ah well, this is ooookay but I don't expect this to be a creative shop because of the ad.

Same here.
I want to know if my work is shit.
The only way to grow in this industry is to be shoved down every day, you get use to it and it doesn't hurt.
Especially when you look back on you work and think "shit, I done that? Wow, things have changed."

AA is kind of the print equivalent of Neil French massaging your balls. (i.e., very good XD)
More literally, it's kind of the Canadian CAs. Well, ish, anyway.
Gratz on getting in dude! That's huge :) Can we see the piece? (Start a new thread tho, cuz this could get st00pit :P)

Hmm, why is your labelling the wrong way around?
Also, none of the ... The line works better without in my opinion.
the reason is we are not hiring those 3 positions
