idea is ok....the photoshop work is horrible and it's not very interesting to look at...maybe explore other ways of showing situations where there is supposed to be wet paint...this solution is too obvious
...but simple. I think it shows the benefit perfectly.
Yet, i bet you can think of 3 more crazy ways of showing it.
I like this, simple and fun. Make the photoshop work better, and I think you got a pretty good booker.
Hehe, nice!
idea is there, but you need a more interesting way of showing it instead of just a person putting his hand on the wall.
Why? Anything more and it gets convoluted.
That said...this is an ad a client would buy. It's simple and perfect and communicates the message succinctly. For those reasons, scrap it and try something really ridiculous.

No, its already interesting. Though same thought has been done in slightly different ways.
Horrible photoshop he he, i really like this. I'd do a few more, perhaps a guy leaning back on the wall (shot from the side-ish angle) and drinking a cup of tea plus another of some sort. Humanise them, what is typical of what we do? This one works, so would the lean, perhaps a half done bench too?
Then i'd wing it in your book too. We've got 5 as i count?! Nearly there then get your book sent out! I'll even give you a few names of people to see if you like for some london agencies.
Cheers Mate, I really appreciate it. Nick
Always a pleasure. As much as i respect everyone elses opinions on here remember a lot are from different markets to ours in the UK. Don't be down if some people hate your work sometimes it is just them. All i'll do is give you the best advice i can from the point of view and experience i've had. I spent 2 years trying to get hired in London and got as varied feedback as the next person, some agencies said you'd win awards for ads, other hated the very same ad. All you need to do is work out your style, or what kind of ads you enjoy writing and aim your book towards those agencies. If you write funny ads, go see mother, if you work more around big branding ideas go see Wiedens or if you love the simple clever press ads go see saatchis or ogilvy.
Thanks mate, Great to get an insight into the agency styles. I think Mother/Saatchis/Oglivy is my style. I may be going to Saatchis on Wedenesday 4th april with a partner I'm meeting who has an appointment (meeting snr AD Stanley Cheung). Also i would love to find out the best way to get seen. Do you think I should send stuff to CDs or just a PDF. What's the best way to contact CDs and seniors? Thanks again man, Nick.
Stanly Cheung? I think me and my partner Al sent him a flash file of our portfolio but didnt hear anything back ha ha ha. Good job getting in there though. The team we used to see there moved to Ogilvy.
Just ask him when you're there for other names. That's what we did, one guy gave us 2 names, both those gave us 2 more etc. that's how you build up contacts, name drop and people will feel more obliged to help you or see you.
Like i said and i'm sure stanly will tell you, you're book won't get looked at until it's ready. CDs just don't have the time to look at every book, that's why senior teams screen it first. We went to see our team when they were at Saatchis about 4 times and believe me, if they think you're book s good enough or ready to show then they'll tell you, we never asked cos we thought it would be rude and the team told us first hand that our work was good it just needed to be pushed more before it was 'job worthy'.
All i'll say is remember this. If you're going to Saatchis, remember they write some of the best press ads in the world. If you go in with good press, they'll like it but the impression may well be "we've got 11 teams here who can do the same -show me something new". You should be taking something they say "i'd never though of doing it that way".
Having said that i may get egg on my face and they'll hire you ha ha ha!
