On a recent trip to the Volkswagen dealership I noticed a series of posters on the wall. These posters were from one of the most famous campaigns of all time. Produced by Doyle, Dale, Bernbach, back in the 60's. Many have attributed this campaign as heralding the turning point in the modern communications business. You must remember among the most famous, "Lemon" and "Think Small'. Absolutely brilliant ads, oops, not ads, I meant to say "absolutely brilliant posters".
there is also a great ddb vw ad with a beetle where they showed what useless info a dealer usually likes to add to an advertisement. I tried googleing "how to make an ad" but apparently that wasn't the title ;-)
I think it's in whipple, if anyone wants to scan it...
ok what i meant to say, is that this is a political poster, its a design piece. Im not selling anything besides a point of view. This isnt an Ad for "Risk" or whatever. I should have made that more clear. Thanks though for the info.
That's OK. I've think I've been in this business long enough to have pretty thick skin. And I meant Doyle, Dane, Bernbach. Not 'Dale'. I hate making those kinds of mistakes.
