When I see a spec ad, I excuse it's execution if the idea is there. Think of what it does for the brand, you do not have a unique selling proposition. Taking a middle finger + product + what product helps with/against does not equal anything good.

do this: flip the ad horizontally and try to make the hand look like it's receiving the light from the sun (kinda orange and with shadows)

No. Not this. Like Brandon said... middle finger + brand doesn't equal a good idea.
Who in their right mind hates the sun? And there you've got your starting point. How about a vampire? Just dig deeper. But honestly, no middle fingers please.
