please comment I´m an ad student;-)
nice ad, quick and fresh.
Welcome sascha. What does this flag mean please?
Well a red flag means its dangerous to enter the water.
But i still don't get it, the flag is not all the way up, does it suppose to mean anything? I see the supposedly dead guy in the background but thats a bit too straight forward, isn't it?
showing a beach, flag and a body isn't an idea so I guess I'm missing something.
who put the red flag in the first place????
The man who stops advertising to save money is like the man who stops the clock to save time
russians or americans..???its a red flaggggggg
I can see pam anderson running towards it with her bouncing..
come on...Its actually pretty simple, red flag means don´t go out in the water at the moment (like red trafficlight) The flags are also used in green and orange. For more or less freindly water..
The flag on half means that someone has died, not used on the beach but mostly at funerals.
Question about who puts it there, the people who puts flags up on the beaches - lifeguards, costguards.
Sascha sorry "I know about red flag means hazardous to enter" black ball on a yellow flag means no surfing "green flag means water is safe"
yes well, I guess it´s only a scandinavian thing then... But nevertheless I´ve explained it now..
Hope to put an end to the confusion.
we'll if you said lifeguards missing then half mast is for dead member of the government? kind of contradicting.
Do you need lifeguards?
hard to convey the message through half mast red flag. more like the lifeguards are in mourning.
no "lifeguards missing" it´s just the title of my post, sorry.
The copy on the ad says "we are in need of lifeguads". Meaning we need more lifeguards
because people are dying on the beaches. Not to be dramatic it was acually meant to be
harsh and funny... But I guess the joke is also dead by now.
This ad cannot swim at all.
i read the ad as; the reminding of dying lifeguards.
I think everyone is reading too much into this. It's quite simple and to the point. Got it right away (even without knowing that a red flag means 'dangerous water')
Sascha, nice work. You have solid ideas and executions. Of course here and there are things to be made better but in general all your stuff you've posted is quite good. Just keep pushing and you'll have no problems finding a job in Denmark.
Thanks a lot popdistortion, what a great comment to end my day with:-)
I´m finishing ad/visual art school this summer - so the nearest future will tell..
Looking forward to see work from you.
Sleep well (european time), and keep up the the good energy.
Okay, lets say this ad is good. I'll give you a mulligan. The type face is horrific. And why did you place the line there? It's bad location.
p.s. I see that you are an art director. Well how about art directing? It looks like you put absolutely no love into this at all.
Hey sascha I'm a student copywriter, correct if I'm wrong but, isn't the flag supposed to drop a shadow since the stick has one?
hehe... yeah I suppose so.
