the famous rain, sun n water ads of JW.
smart comment, copy_Can, but advertising is not bout being smart. keep trying giving better comments.
Heads up: If you want to get a job in advertising your portfolio should be full of SMART ideas that sell products; just having a book with "ads" won't cut it.
So yes, it is about being smart.
And if you want me to "keep trying giving better comments", I recommend you team up with a copywriter if you're an art director and a copywriter if you're a copywriter.

in this case, AdDavid, copy_can's smart(ass) comments were succint and right on.
I'd say the concept is close but push the executions a little more. I know you were probably thinking "minimal" but walking into water or in the path of a car is a little too easy.
These work but make them work harder. Or simpler.
On the water one: taking out the "waves" would already make the ad better.
Still though, these aren't very exciting.

I think your campaign is smart. I'm not sure if it can run though. Johnny Walker will sue you for it for sure for using their iconography.

Ok, pull back for a second AdD, the co-opting of inconic liquor brands to create a PSA against drinking works, it's been done, though I think you're onto something with this execution. However, to be a campaign you have to find other brands to fuck with, three of johnnie walker gets boring, I'm not sure if you were planning on it anyways, but do this same kind of wolf in sheep's clothing with a bunch of other brands, see what you come up with, i'd be interested to see.
Now that's a sensible comment. I agree. Like for example for thoughts:
"Absolute Sleepless", "Insomniac Daniel" or something.
may be i'll try that.
btw, by a smart comment i meant comments like 'good', 'bad, 'sucks'
'cool', 'work harder', 'keep workin' etc., etc. here we shud share our views, n altest give some indication about
why or why not a post is good or bad. comments that give direction. this isn't a clasroom where
the teacher says right or wrong. this is what i meant by copy-can's comment being smart,
n there he goes pop like a popcorn. i'm sorry if i infuriated u copy-can, i never questioned about ur judging skills n ur views about advertising, i respect them as much as mine. n i certainly may have lots to learn from u, but only if u let me. the first comment was not

I agree with the previous comments. Shouldn't be all Jwalker. I like the water execution..but yes No need of those waves. He can fall down anywehere..water...rocks whatever.

i've seen both before, n in the first shot, i liked the first one. anyway, the ads here has a
totally different take on drinking, not the usual "don't drink n drive' proposition.
