Hey
I need some feedback on this one as well. And yes that is the correct orientation of the ad. Thanx

The same idea was done more than once before and more successfully.

But if you want to keep it, i would change at least two things:

1) The jeep should be on an Incline (go down instead of up)
that way when you rotate the ad 90 degrees it won't look
completely unbelievable as it is now.

2) The Copy should be Horizontal, not vertical as it is now.
You are "helping" the viewer too much, its like telling
him "hey rotate the ad".

The rotated bird is enough of a twist for the viewer to figure out whats going by himself.
Actually, perhaps the rotated sky/clouds is enough (could look like waterfalls though).

But again, strongly consider dropping this idea as its not original.

ok, sounds like good advice.
You wouldn't happen to have any examples of these ads that have the same idea ?
Thanks.

I tried to look for one but i couldn't find any online; my sources are limited though.
Don't trust my memory, ask others and do research instead.
Maybe i'm just imagining.

good luck.

Hey Stigset.
I´m sorry to tell but I´ve also seen an ad like this running in Denmark - for Suzuki Grand Vitara. It was a little different, the text was on the button, and the pictue turned vertical. It wasn´t so long ago though, maybe a mounth or os it came out. It´s actually from an agency where I had my internship. They are called Robert/Boisen like minded www.rblm.dk - and they are pretty well known. I tried to look up the ad but couldn´t find it. But nethertheless I like your idea. Damn you were a little late
- I don´t think it runs anywhere else then in Denmark, if that´s any help.

It´s hard to come up with new ideas for cars like this - there have been done so many in the past, a little like tobasco;-)

greets
Sascha

This ad looks nice. Here's my problem with it. Ive seen it done for Jeep not once but 147 times already. There is no way someone could put together a jeep ad and not have already seen this concept and basically this exact execution done before. My advice to you Stigset would be find a nice strong piece of silly putty and copy somebody elses book. Preferably somebody with ads that havent been done to death.

Ah, it was too good to be true; but i haven't found one singel ad with that concept. So if anyone can find an ad like this, I would be surely gratefull.
Anyways check out my ad for a self tanning lotion and tell me if that has also been done to death.

thanx

Definitely seen it. 4X4 was driving at an angle along rice fields at different heights. You thought the ad was laid out wrong until you noticed a farm hand at 45 degrees to the car in the background - about 10 years old.

Why does the jeep look like it's been badly drawn?

But more importantly this is a blatant rip off of the famous Landrover campaign that won all the awards in DADA in London a few years back where it shows the 4WD on one angle and the landscape on another.

The Jeep going straight up????? Totally unbelievable.

Sorry chuck it out now before a CD sees it.

I agree that it should be on a more believable angle but the idea really really sucks because of the poor execution and the plagerism

PLEASE SHUT THE **** UP, I wish people like you wouldn't be as transparent as they are. God every forum has you people, Stigset is probably the only one who knows you a little after so little time. It's so childish, please be extremely content with yourself. You'll never be anything in advertising, and you know it Sutho.
Kris.

Kris,

That was probably the most immature and most pathetic post I've ever read on this site.

In fact it's so dummy spitting it's laughable.

Keep posting because you're getting funnier by the post.

Can't you write with any form of intelligence or wit?

Ah well ...maybe not.

If you bother to read my comments on the jeep ad they were very clear.

Extremely poor execution and a blatant ripoff of famous advertising.

That's all.

If you can't put together a proper post and understandable comments without resorting to slagging off names then I suggest you take a long holiday off this site.

Oh by the way I've won over 80 major international awards including a gold lion.

How many have you won?

>Oh by the way I've won over 80 major international awards including a gold lion.

Looking at the poor execution of the "tuna fart" piece I must say that I don't believe You (unless You have proven it). Most Juniors I know would have executed the ad much better than You did, Mr. Gold Lion.

It was a low res mock up for approval.

Approved yesterday and loved by the client.

I did not do the excecution as it was done by a young art director who will now turn it into a finished product.

If you want to see appaulling excecutions look at Stigset's Jeep ripoff ad and the even more appaulling XXXX Bomb ad.

What a joke.

You are so full of bullshit, no agency would post a job that hasn't come out yet. No client would accept it. Actually you could get fired for it. What is the name of your agency ? and again the internet site please

what you don't seem to get sutho or leftfield, or whoever you are, is that these are mock up's; Just ideas we post before we execute them better afterwards. This is a way of testing what we do. If it get bad critcis we don't go the whole way if it get good critics, we finish the work. As to your job on the chili: is was a finished project made by an agency. At least that is what you said when posting it. You removed the credits of your agency (why?, probably because that was bullshit too). And that was the whole critic. Made by an agency that one didn't do it. No, if you hadn't bullshittet about the agency I wouldn't have been so negativ, I would say "ok there is a concept but could be done better". By, the way what is the internet site of your agency so we can go and see the other works , you and your colleagues have done ?

You are a total hypocrite Stigset.

You post the most disgusting badly done ads and think you can comment on and know [pretend you know what you are talking about.

Aren't you just a little bit embarrassed about the XXXX bomb ad and the crap Jeep ad???

My god you must be a sociopath or something. You have no what you're saying or doing.

I srongly suggest you get out of creative and try real estate or something.

Hey dude, missed you. Simple question, I've got a Cannes archive account through my academy, thus I can easily find that golden lion you won. Care to give me some details? Year, agency, the creatives involved. You did win it, did you?

don't worry, he won't answer. i asked him some serious questions about the target group of his ad, about the strategy etc and he didn't answer that one either.

Shame though, I'm sure it was a great campaign he won that Lion for. The worst thing is, these kinda people are lying to themselves to start off with.

Eugens

If you bother to read the fish fart post again you'll see he did disclose the details.

he mentioned something about it being a well known brand with a quirky sense of humour. He didn't mention the target audience but I assume it's anyone with a mouth and the strategy is obvious: Announce that Maxim's Tuna now comes with Chilli. (That's chilli with two L's incidently)

Who cares?

As long as Sutho knows he won the Gold Lion.

Rumour has it that it was for Colgate Junior toothpaste and it was the first print ad to win a Gold lion when they decided to include print along with film.

But as I say it's just a rumour you'll have to confirm that with him..

i am also interested in seeing the gold lion that sutho won. We are all curious.

By the way i hate to piss on another parade of yours but this ad was done for a 4x4 (forgot which company) but i did a presentation once and had 3 slides of that campaign. It was a 4x4 going up a mountain and some kids jumping off a bridge but upside down...

Do your homework and research on the info 5 posts above and your curiousity will dissappear.

But like I say confirm that with Sutho what would I know about this.
