second one is best of all three. first one doesn't remind me of fire
(anyway, it looks like a junkie thing, the third could be fire, red soup or
creepy squid turned red with anger.

haha, I also thought heroine junkie when I saw the first one. Looking at the headline, that's the point. I think this is a really bad angle dude, you don't want to associate your product with something so controversial and erm, illegal.

Really nice concept, visuals are ace, but I agree the middle one is by far the best.

The middle one is cool but my option is I think I the first one is the best it stops you for the obvious reasons.

Sometime I wonder if it not right to use controversial imagery to get a more arresting advert. We see all this heroin use (negative images) on film daily. We should be permitted to use them positively.

After all it’s the positive association the high we get from eating really well cooked spicy food that I want to drive not the negative social miss fit. And you do get a high really from eating your favorite food. And even better for the restaurant business if you get addicted to their food. Hope that a persuasive sales pitch.

I hear you man, and it's an interesting point. I guess opinion will differ depending on who you speak with.

If you're showing your portfolio to an agency known for whacky out-there stuff, leave it in absolutely. If they frown explain it the way you have here.

If you're going to a more serious agency, or a more client minded one, then leave it out. Basically what I'm saying is that it's good whacky book stuff, but I don't see a client in this sector buying it.

On a different note: tweak that executions line a bit, I don't think it's there yet. You also shouldn't use the word literally in the last one, I don't think it makes much sense. Play around with a few more options.

Good luck, hope this helps.

Edit: whoops, double posted instead of editing :s

Good pointer. Am art director although that s not an excuse, will sleep over it and hopefully get a line that really works.
Just wondering from your option if you were in a judges position would I get to medal category or just a merit?

Neither son. But for student work it's a start.

When you say student you mean college I hope. And just wondering have ever put in work for awards by any chance?

Of course, I have been doing this for 10 years.

Wherz da spice??
u want to emphasize on hot n spicy indian food, but,, did it create any psycological response to the sight of dat kind of chilli bein used? does it call for the consumers? u rather pointed out the use of black and red to attract attention "towards the add", not the product. Good try though ;)
