haha - the idea is nice!
hitler - have some respect for millions who died because of him
santa- it's been used by gillete
respect for the millions who died because of him?
where is he disrespecting them? i belive his disrespecting him.
I'm sure this person could have come up with another person to use had they dug deeper here.
I hope you would agree that Hitler as a element in one's advertising probably isn't the best person to use. Makes me want to disassociate with this brand altogether.
Let's face it this isn't much of an idea to begin with, the use of Hitler in it only demonstrates to me this person has not given the time or thought into this assignment. Pretty irresponsible, and yes any CD would agree.
Good is the enemy of great.

Irresistible is the correct spelling.

Hitler: You're linking Gillette with Hitler, an alarm should go off in the branding department of your brain.

It's a funny thought, but it shows that you just have to see more work.
Hey kris dint get ya....if u can pls be more specific...!!!
This is just 'so what' advertising. Kris said it all.
We were handling gillette when the US caught a bearded Saddam and shaved him off, we did an ad "uncoverd by gillette" (remeber those famous shts on CNN). We didn't presenet finally as the everyone thought it was not in good taste...
However this idea has been done by Gillette before using Santa Claus.

Wow! now Gillette always comes up with something new in their advertisments. I like the tag line "irresistable shaves from Gillette". Being an advertising person, i always pay more attention to such things.
Regards
Amanda Wright
Excellent, reminds me I should shave a little more often...

Gillette is there in the market now for more than three to four generations. My grandpa, my daddy, and now i am also using Gillette. I agree with Amenda Wright, their advertisement does attract the mass and serves the purpose beautifully.
