naaaaaa

this exact thing was done. this situation in paris and on the screen we saw the statue of liberty
for a zoom lens camera
i liked that campaign.

so, good idea, but skip it.

Hurm. I'd disagree, but that's because my irritating brain would take into account the curvature of the Earth and the fact that you could never see the statue from France and blah blah blah...but yes, this is the same idea. Although, if anything, from your description, I like this one more.

But it's still Tasco :)

This idea was done for a camera too. I forget exactly which camera it is, but its in one of the recent Archives. By recent, I mean within the last year. I'll try and describe it to see if anyone else remembers...
It's shots of walls with the camera imposed like that (In front of the wall) and you can see VERY fine detail in the screen of the camera. So basically its the exact idea. When I find the Archive its in I'll let you guys know.
By my description, does anyone remember what I'm talking about? (Or am I crazier than I think I am?)

well, since you're ideas done, you have an opportunity with "the first lightweight digi cam" I'm sure you can spin something off that instead of the zoom. Nice execution anyhow!

this seems like such a simple, solid idea that I am tempted to say it must have been done. thing is ... I can't recall any ad and I don't recognize the tasco whatever the boys are talking about above. so perhaps it hasn't?

this is a case where you should show the campaign to everyone you know and see if they can point you to something similar. if they fail, use it in your book, it's a solid idea. if however they do come back with something, verify and when correct kill this. having things in your book that others have done will do more harm than a good idea will help you.

final thought: kill the grey frame around the images. not necessary. also bring the logo and camera into one corner and simplify that part. then consider killing the palm tree on the right as well as anything that might take the eye away from your main points.

Hey krautland, here's the one I was talking about above:

Basically the same idea, no?

same concept/strategy, different execution. the ones you linked are more realistic, these ones are more extreme.

this is a tough one. I'm not sure whether to kill the campaign. perhaps I would, if only because this kind of solution is something I could see coming, could treat as expected. it doesn't come out of left field. it's not like I never saw this brilliant thought coming until it was there. that would be the real sweet spot you want in a campaign for your book.

thanks for everybody here. I dunno this idea being done with similar execution, hehe. too many idea being done across the world.
i'll keep up with something solid and fresh.

yeah, you may be better off with a different strategy. you're pretty good, so don't despair. just approach this camera from a different angle. ask yourself what you could show me that would make me go "I never thought you could do THAT with this camera" or something like that.

I'm pretty confident that if you keep working on this, you're gonna hit on something really awesome. all it takes is dedication.

you are really encouraging me, krautland :) cheers

despite good art and everything, I come to think about false information. :) really... zooming that much? otherwise,.. I would love to see some cheeky funny thing, something to do with the ability to zoom so far,.. something wild like what a peeping tom will do, or a military guy on Iraqi border... something more exciting than a holiday view or flowers!

thanks for the comment. cheers

but have you really done this ad for the Fuji? or its still in progress?
