I'm gonna try this again....because I care. If I'm not mistaken, you are using what I think is your strategy brief as subheads and body copy. All that stuff (copy) at the bottom of your ad is what you should be trying to convey either in a pithy headline, compelling visual, or combination of the two. Before you can worry about fold-out ads and hot chicks wearing bikinis in your ads, you need to have a solid strategy. That will force you to focus on a single-minded message/concept. And that concept will dictate your execution. So first think about your approach. There are generally two ways to go, either find something new to say about your client, or find a new way to say the same old thing. In either case start with something unique to say, and then find a cool way to express it. I hope this helps.

thanks for the help. im trying to talk to teens about sex and i have just been showing it in the most obvious ways.

Hey! I like this. I never, NEVER look at copy's. My opinion is this: If the visual is strong enough to get you to read it has succeeded in my book. If I do not want/care to read the text after I watched then it failed. So I if I think hey! good what does it say...than its ok.

But this one connects towards the lingo these youngsters use. And try to grab the parents and explain whats the deal. Fresh imagery. 7,5 in my book.

She's hot... The ad could use some better AD, I think it lacks some finess. But better than the other one. Is it your girlfriend ?

hey man. I can appreciate you like to use hot chicks in your ads .. but. and this is a big but, your strategy is flawed. you are trying to appeal to parents with an ad that looks to be targeted to teenage boys. if you really want to use planned parenthood, explore their site, figure out what the brand is about, and go from there.

thanks. i am targeting youth but without appearing to target them.im trying not to be "addy" sounding. Ive just been attacking this one and you and phony are right i should take it easy and slide in through the creative backdoor.

by the way was anybody sure about what third base was? because i have found that is the most controversial base as far as what its actual definition is.

Take this approach for yourself. This isn't a good ad. Tear it apart yourself and figure out why its not working, consider the excellent advice by 'Phony Ads' and try to get a better pulse on the process. It is very important to learn what bad ads are, its not easy to recognize what you're doing is a stinker. Then you waste too much time improving it, defending it, convincing yourself its good. Just my two cents.

no problem, its all a process, one that I am teaching myself as well. the key is the right attitude and humility. I've found there are a lot of very smart people out there that are always willing to lend a helping hand.

Personally speaking, I think realizing your own idea stinks is just as hard as finding the big idea. Its a skill that any aspiring CW/AD needs to develop.
