Would be placed in the Chicago streets. Esepcially the sewers that steamed
Its been done and displayed a lot by another product recently. Nice application for the bulls to do but not something thats going to catch the eye of an agency in your book.
thanks weighter. What product are you refering to? I did notice a similar idea done by some coffee company after I had presented this idea. I was so pissed. But hey I still think it is ok so I went ahead with it. I am in school right now so I am curious as to why this would not catch the eye of an agency. Do you say that because a similar idea has been done or because of somthing else? Thanks for the response.
They will assume you saw the coffee ad or the clothes-ironing ad and just applied the idea to a new brand. It happens too much for them to think otherwise I guess. its a great idea, its just been established fairly well now and any innovation requires a new spin on it.
Has been done a few times, yes. Not the ad itelf (as far as I know). But manhole advertising is definitley being used in outdoor campaigns. So what the heck - why not another? Personally, I like it. But again, I am partial to most outdoor ad campaigns.
A few more examples...

Qantas Travel = one way sign to Sydney Austrliahttp://billboardom.blogspot.com/2005/09/qantas-manhole-covers.html
Anyone got any more? And madMAN - when did you come up with your idea? As in, how many years ago? That's how old some of the manhole ad campaigns are. But keep on with it!

Done for a coffee brand.....
I've got an idea that could make this "original", give me a day or so to put a comp together - it's a bit longwinded to describe...
I've got an idea that could make this go a lot further but wanted to talk via email about it. Look up my profile and email me.
Great idea. It is not as relevant as the coffee cup, but still.

It is absolutely relevant to die hard Bulls fans guys. Ads similarities are here to stay
long after we're all gone.
By the way, Weighter talks like he only does original ads like the "bulb over the head" idea.
Brilliant. Oh, no! Very bright!
Im just offering positive and honest opinions as constructive feedback. I am relatively new to advertising and have a lot to experience/develop but as anyone who works in the industry knows, collaboration is invaluable. Without it work doesnt reach the next level.
Ive worked as a broadcast tv art director the past couple years... i did an ad that won a Gold for an atlantic Canadian awards show, I had the pleasure of working with a very talented and accomplished CD + AD team. It made me change my career ambition towards advertising...
I do not pretend to be an expert by any means, nothing more than hopefully a constructive friend around here in fact. I intend on learning more as I attempt to contribute. Feel free to bash me and my ideas all you want, it bothers me none.
No worries weighter, some people can be less than pleasant at times around here. We're glad to have you.
Thanks for the feedback. I will work on it a bit and give you all the final soon.
