I know these ads are pretty weak.. I hope you guys can help give me some advice on how to improve... /__\
also the dog god one.. does it offend christians?
the connection to christianity is pretty weak, don't worry. I would, however, worry about the lines. As far as I can tell, there is not much of an original concept behind these ads, that's where you need to start, make us feel something new or different about adopting a pet, everyone knows that they're cute and friendly, push it further. Ask a question about the product that you don't have an answer to, then bust your ass trying to answer it.
I absolutely with Modal Writer. Just a thought... Imagine a dog (or
a cat for that matter) pinning a poster on a lamp post.
The poster reads: "Lost Owner". Just an example. May not be the best route.
At least there's that touch of playfulness there. Of course, it's all up to you.
You need to stake your ground awassabee. Your attachments are copy-driven, but your writing is very rough. If you are an art director, either collaborate with a writer, or focus on visual solutions. What do you study?
well.. I'm currently in high school and I took one class of Art Center Saturday High class and I'm trying to build a portfolio to get into art center... but yea... I guess I need a lot of work to do... I just had an idea for this one after reading the comments.. but I'm first going to sketch it out inside of photoshop and post it on here
I'll tell you what, I didn't find out I wanted to do anything with art direction until I was six months from a bachelor's degree. You're in a good place if you're starting here, now.
Who needs a psychiatrist when you have a dog? I dunno - what does YOUR psychiatrist say?

I don't get it...
dude, first have a thot. why do u need pet?
1) They don't care who u r as long as u love them. Seen those ads where the guy is a cross dresser?
2) You were working on hapiness factor, so work on hapiness.
Then you can show all those things that u need for hapiness lying unused. Like your PS2, blow up doll etc.
3) You can have a pet as a companion. You can go even funny. Show a guy and a girl with long locks from behind, when u see the front it is actually a dog. These ads you can post on match.com or dating sites, and say something like "WITH PETS WHO NEEDS A DATE"
Think hard, there are lots of ways to do it.
may be first visit some pet related sites. u'll know a lot about them. that might help a lot. or even talk yo a friend who has a pet.
That's true. An addditonal suggestion to Desi's, maybe you can think of 'creating a need' in the mind of your target. Like for EXAMPLE, say you have a guy mimicing a dog by leaping up in the air to catch the morning newspaper with his mouth. Or a woman chasing a mouse around the kitchen like a disoriented feline. You can also go kind of extreme, say a man mimicing a dog by trying to 'do' a real Dalmatian dog being walked by a sexy girl. And this one... a woman on her bed holding a little pink ribbon hanging by a string tied on a stick. She is teasing something between her legs. I'M NOT SAYING ALL THIESE AS IF I'VE GOT IT ALL WORKED OUT, GUYS. They're all meant to inspire Awassabee and I'm sure onyone can come up with better ideas anytime.
lol, I don't know if using sexual theme will want people to adopt pets, but your ideas are very interesting.
Thank you all for giving me suggestions, I think I got some ideas down but I think I'll play with them just a bit and see how it goes.
You guys have been so helpful
