Don't go to Singapore. Traditionally, the best cities for advertising have been London, New York and Chicago. In the US, there seems to be a lot of good stuff coming out of Portland, Minneapolis (though it remains an industry backwater), Boulder, Los Angeles, and to a lesser extent Seattle and Austin. Elsewhere, Sao Paolo has been mentioned a lot, as well as Sydney and Dubai.
