KARNATAKA TOURISM - MYSORE DASARA
A poster campaign done for Mysore Dasara (a festival celebrated in Karnataka, India) has been attached. The posters ran in leading magazines, coffee shops, multiplexes and other prominent locations across the state.
One of the biggest and most talked about festivals of Karnataka, Mysore Dasara commemorates the victory of good (Goddess Chamundeswari) over evil (Mahishasura –the demon king). A day 10 affair, the air in Mysore is rife with celebration during Dasara. Music, dance, drama, events, games, parades, exhibitions, et al, are an integral part of this celebration. On the 10th day, a grand procession of caparisoned elephants, horses, performing artists and much more, draws million from within the country and abroad. To put it succinctly, Mysore Dasara is nothing short of a blockbuster.
Evil Dead: The victory of Goddess Chamundeswari over demon Mahishasura, after a 10-day battle.
The Sound of Music: The events (cultural dance, drama, music concerts that go on for 10 days) during the festival.
Rush Hour: A grand procession on the last day that draws millions from all over the country and outside.
