This is great! But it may need a little more design work: the use of an Illustrator brush is too obvious. But other than that, this is really good.

Thanks for your comment I appreciate it and absolutely agree with you over the artwork, it's indeed a basic Illustrator brush.
I have to mention that for me it was mainly about the concept and therefor not so much about the artwork itself.
You made me curious what your thoughts over the illustration are? More paint on canvas, more abstract less crayon? Let me know...

To answer your question, I think you should do something about the "no ordinary year" you can put some background behind the 2010, Just a blur image of something about football.... And yes, you can put the url nikefootball.com near the logo...

I think this goes better with the Adidas campaign. No ordinary year seems perfect for me.

Thanks for all the great comments guys, i shall update the artwork soon based on some of the comments above. First I will draw the logo make it more authentic canvas/painting like and ad nikefootball.com in the bottom copy. I think i will leave the phrase "No ordinary year" underneath the logo but i'm still not certain about that...
And very funny to see the dirty and religious minds working here, did not see the comparison myself at first I only saw the footballer! Great...
And last but certainly not least; in my opinion "this is an ad" for sure... ;)
