in my opinion, a image in your artwork must be zoom in....

I really like the idea, and using icons of different places in the world and getting them ready to "swim"!
I would say try to keep the look and feel similar for each icon.
The "how to survive" is not necessary, i think the life jacket does the job on it's own.
It works nicely in print.
