Non-profit ad for domestic violence victims. Please share any opinions on the series. Whether the message is clear and if the ad is intriguing or areas or improvment.
because back in the 50s everything was kept 'hushed' and families strive to be the perfect 'leave it to beaver' family. So I thought that would be a great theme for the ads, trying to get women to realize that there is no point covering up cases of domestic violence and to be strong and do something about it.
Domestic violence is all bruises and black eye. The message is not portrayed. Somebody might perceive that in any case they are happy to be what they are in for.
well its not the 50s anymore so its not even relevant. moreover, the domestic abuse has strong emotions connected thru it.. and its not flowery one bit. though u dont have to show wounds per se (since that's done), you could try portraying the pain that people live with in a manner which is far more attention-getting.

Why the retro treatment? I don't really get it.
