I guess the idea is that the glass is so strong that you could make a armored car with it.

This isn't a great idea, unfortunately. I'm sure you could come up with something way more related to why people would buy this type of glass. What would be the direct benefit t them.

This is too much in first idea territory.

Commenting to follow, buuut the analogy is too literal. You could take it a step further so the reader actually gets some "AH HA!" moment from it. The payoff is weak, so the ad just kind of falls flat. Think of things that are strong besides armored cars.

It would be nicer if you could incorporate irony here. Show something extremely fragile stand unshaken, untouched against the harshest of circumstances.

Perhaps a warrior running a battlefield using a glass flower vase as protection against all kinds of dangers, instead of a shield.

Something alone those lines...
