Case study
Description
At the start of each school year, 100 000 French teens between 16 and 18 years old drop out of school. First, they lose confidence, isolate themselves and spend days on their sofa. Then, if nothing is done, the ending can be serious for them and the society: depression, unemployment, drug addiction, delinquency, prison.
To unblock their future, La Promo 16-18, the training program launched by the government to fight school dropouts, decided to change the ending of the famous series these French teens identify with: Blocked. The story of two unemployed people stuck in their sofa from the first to the last episode.
Introducing: Unblocked. A new final episode where the hero of the series gives voice to 3 former dropouts in the setting of their future job.
To create this episode, we collaborated with various artists including: Gringe, the hero of the series and successful rapper; Just Riadh, French influencer of the year; Mayada, a talented comic book artist; and Shaunz, one of the most famous French gamers. We used a live format on Twitch to encourage school dropouts to participate and break their isolation. We broadcast this livestream just after the beginning of the school year. We then created a complete recruitment campaign on social platforms for school dropouts and their parents.
