Kamala Harris was sworn in on January the 20th, 2021 as the 49th Vice President of the United States, becoming the first female, Black, and South Asian-American to hold that esteemed office. “Today We Rise” captures that history-making event through the eyes of girls around the U.S. The film was shot by volunteers in more than 30 households across the United States as the inauguration took place, edited together and debuted just hours after the ceremony.
