Description

Coffee grounds are 28x a worse pollutant than carbon dioxide. Unfortunately, the world throws out 18M tons of it every year. Nespresso, one of the world's biggest coffee brands, recognized that it's part of the problem. So, they created the Coffee Brick—a sustainable construction material made with coffee waste.

The innovation will be launched in Colombia—home of Nespresso farmers—where disaster struck with Hurricane Julia. Coffee Bricks are used to rebuild the country's destroyed villages and communities. We also encourage coffee lovers to send us their coffee waste and competitors to adopt the initiative.
