Edelweiss General Insurance (EGI) - a general insurance provider with a varied range of policies approached Pixelfox - a Mumbai-based creative agency and production house, for its product launch film on digital platforms.

“SWITCH is India’s first on-demand, mobile telematics-based comprehensive motor insurance product from EGI, under IRDAI’s sandbox initiative - “Drive less, pay less; Drive better, pay less”. SWITCH has been designed to incentivize good driving and make customers pay only for how much they drive and how well they drive. Through our campaign #SwitchToSave, we want to encourage customers to make the Switch and Save. Hence, we required someone to explain it in a different manner, relevant to the audience of today. Pixelfox knows and understands the significance of changing times. The agency knows the connection they need to make and they know how to do it just right.”, says Shanai Ghosh, Executive Director & CEO of Edelweiss General Insurance.

All the gathered information and diligent research, gave birth to our conceptual framework of curating a mockumentary-styled launch video. With shots that cut as sharp as a knife and humor that transcended the usual explanation of financial terms, Pixelfox took an innovative approach to tell the audience about a new product from Edelweiss.

In addition to that, Pixelfox also recommended the stand-up comedian, Raunaq Rajani, to be part of this launch film. He came onboard and the mockumentary now seemed easier than ever!

Shooting in a day with a new format may have seemed like a challenge. But not with the team at Pixelfox. Shot in a day’s time, the agency kickstarted the post production process soon after. The result was a film that made insurance easy, with Edelweiss.

Results:
The result was 1M+ views on YouTube alone. The comments were pouring in, with a whole lot of love for the shoot-style. In the words of most of our audience, it was a film “well-made with a great concept, awesome direction, less jargons and ease of understanding.”

Krutika Vernekar, the co-founder of Pixelfox remarks, “We realized the jargons of finance seem far-fetched for the audience of today. So right from its inception, we aimed to create a film that could be understood by an everyday viewer. But it couldn’t be your regular explainer video. We had to switch it up a bit. ”

For us, it was a big leap of faith. But we took it and 91k people have seen the result! EGI’s faith in us only made things better. It was their confidence in our instinct that allowed us to approach this product with a new-age execution style. And we ensured we lived up to it!”, adds Amit Damani, co-founder of Pixelfox.
