Long distance path E8 is one of the most challenging thru-hiking treks on Bulgaria’s territory. Coincidentally, it passes right through the heart of the Rhodopes — the mountain range synonymous with mineral water Velingrad. In recent years people have begun seeking a connection with nature, and interest in long distance paths is rising as a result. However, information about E8 is scarce at best. Velingrad Alcalia saw the opportunity to help nature enthusiasts plan their hike safely and thoroughly by launching a website that would host all the necessary information.
As a backdrop to their journey we chose images mountaineers know all too well — a backpack and a boot — implying Velingrad’s E8 website is just as instrumental to a successful trek as those attributes.
