Flowers on a foggy day

I decided to walk to work today. It takes about 50 minutes or so, depending on my amble. It was grey out and somewhat foggy, and humid.

I noticed some walking flowers peeking through the fog. Women wearing red pants, green pants, bright blue pants and yes, yes yes yes, yellow pants. It was incredible. They peppered my walk with a colourful spice. Flowers on a foggy day.

I smiled when I read this entry. It always lightens my mood when I see people wearing very 'happy' clothes. It gives me the feeling that there are still people wearing and doing what they ACTUALLY like to wear/do.

i know! me too! i just went out with a workmate to get a free coffee from Starbucks (customer appreciation day) and saw this woman wearing the worst red platform shoes ever. i said to my friend "those are wicked shoes, she knows what she likes" and i mean it. i'm not judging her, i'm enjoying her choice!
the crazier the outfit, the happier i am.

in answer to your question about myspace and livejournal: i'm afraid i don't. this blog here, on this site, is all that i have. i'm a latent adapter of technology and internet savvy. besides, if we chatted all the time, you would get tired of me very quickly.

I beg to differ. HA! But I sense that you are trying to put me off, its ok. Just tell me if I'm getting to social for these kind of forums. But I doubt that I will get tired of your persona.

i'm not trying to put you off. i really don't have any of those things.
here's some other facts for you:
i own and use an old fashioned answering machine (no call waiting or caller i.d for me)
i don't own a cell phone, i refuse.
i only recently got an iPod.
i was raised to consider technology carefully before adopting it, and i believe it suits me pretty well.

Then I admire your persistence in these matters. I must say I dont have an mp3 player, I do have a cell phone but I barely use it and it's starting to fall apart. I am tempted to buy the new iPhone of Apple. It's pretty.

But I am really wondering how you look, are you really 30 something, are you married in that case? Boyfriend? Children? Where do you work etc.

Yes I am maybe too interested in people. I am a real people-person. I dont know what to do if theres nobody to talk to, its really frustrating. here on my job I'm sitting in an office without windows and I cant see the other employees. I have to start walking, I like to chat and meet people.

how i look: i am hot (i'm only saying what other people have told me)

am i really in my thirties: yes. 34

i am married. i have the most wonderful husband. he knows that i'm a terrible flirt and doesn't mind... i really can't help it. i just love men so much!
no children yet. some day soon. we couldn't waste our genes and not try to have kids, they will likely be super beings and save the earth.

work: i work at an in-house marketing studio, so i work for the client, which is quite difficult as i haven't seen a real brief in ages and the battle is all uphill. it's quite tiring sometimes.

now it's your turn. here are my questions:
1. top 3 fav. movies and why
2. top 3 fav. books and why
3. 3 things you would take with you if you knew you were going to be shipwrecked on a deserted island and couldn't do anything about it.

HAHAH YES! I love those questions. I only answer if I get a cookie.

top 3 movies (unfair, I'm a moviefanatic. I'll show you my IMDB client I've got ALOT of movies)

No order, i have no number 1,2,3 only the best 3 then.
* Le fabuleux de d'estine de Amelie Poulin
* Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
* A Clockwork Orange

(the top 3 change when better movies are published. I like the ones with good stories)

Top 3 Books
* Discworld Novels
* Nietzsche: Also sprach Zarathustra (just started that one)
* My SintLucas annual (for memories and reading my old friends)

3 bloody things to take to an island (OMG)
* Rum (so I can say: "Why's the bloody Rum gone?!?" and make funny faces)
* my ubercool sunglasses
* a friend to keep me compagnie

Same questions three are asked upon thee.

Blade Runner
(others that didn't make the cut, but I might feel differently tomorrow: Marie Antoinette, Fight Club, The man in the grey suit, City of God, Mary Full of Grace, Pan's Labyrinth, The Lady in the Water)

Top 3 books, in no particular order:
ReadyMade
The Time Traveller's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
Lamb- Christopher Moore

3 things I would take with me on an island if shipwrecked:
a swiss army knife
a journal
a pen

i have three cookies for you to choose from, you may only have one, which will it be? Chewy Chocolate Chip, Chewy Oatmeal Raisin or Chewy Peanut Butter.

Lovely thoughts and words, Michelle.

I walk to work too, and it takes me 50 minutes. Maybe you were right about being the same person. Curiouser and curiouser.

I've decided I hate signatures.

Well, he is stately; he was a doctor. The shock of hair is pure white. As he is retired, so are the ascot and wool trousers. Now it's golf attire or gardening wear.

I've decided I hate signatures.
