2010 AME Awards for Advertising & Marketing Effectiveness Announces Call For Entries
New York, NY – August 17, 2009 The AME Awards for Advertising & Marketing Effectiveness announced the Call For Entries for the 2010 competition. Now in its 16th year, the AME Awards honor work that successfully demonstrates groundbreaking solutions to challenging marketing problems. This year’s AME competition will offer a redefined category lineup to feature the new array of tools in use by advertisers and marketers. In addition, the 2010 competition will introduce regional competitions to allow the preliminary competitions to take place within specific regions.
The 2010 AME competition has strategically redefined entry categories to reflect the current trends in the evolving advertising and marketing industry. Categories of note are: Marketing Specialties, such as integrated and interactive; Social Media/Online; Use of Medium: Mobile; and The Green AME.
This year’s AME Awards introduces regional competitions. This updated judging process allows entries to be judged with cultural relevance within their own region by jurors with the most up to date knowledge of that particular market. The five regions are: Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East & Africa, and North America.
All Gold winners, selected from each of the five regions, will go on to be judged by an international Grand Jury. AME’s Grand Jury will select winners, evaluating each campaign on the following criteria: how well it met its objective in its category and its overall impact in the marketplace. All AME Gold winning work will be judged by the Grand Jury to determine a Platinum Trophy winner for each of the five regions. All Gold Award winners will be judged against each other to honor the top scoring campaign in four categories; Consumer Products and Services; Business to Business Products and Services; Use of Discipline; and Use of Medium.
This year’s Grand Jury will also select a winner for the newly minted AME Green Award. The AME Green Award will honor the entry that meets the objectives of a company whose emphasis is on resource conservation and reducing any negative impact to the environment.
The AME Awards receives entries from over thirty countries. An award winning campaign addresses challenges in the marketplace, utilizes outstanding creative elements, and incorporates a thorough marketing strategy to deliver a successful execution. Entries vary in this international competition, ranging from a single spot that changed a brand, to an international campaign that changed the world. “Advertising and marketing are most often rewarded for creativity.
